You take a look at her the first thing that you notice is her eyes. Even the Superstar is reported to have complemented Karthika’s beautiful eyes. Poised about debuting in Tamil with K.V. Anand’s ‘Ko,’ the actress revealed that she is in the acting business to earn the best performer’s tag rather than big bucks. And the sooner it comes the better for the actress.

Karthika essays the role of a journalist in ‘Ko.’ When director Anand met her for the story-telling session all he told the actress was that she will essay the role of a journalist with a nose for news. She was to have the attitude of a go-getter in the film. Karthika confessed that ‘Ko’ has a reversal of roles compared to the usual films about the “build- up” which the heroes usually get. In ‘Ko’ it is she who gets all the build-up!

Flashing back to the time during shoots the actress reveals that every time the director used to compliment her about her quick grasping skills she used to get stares from her co- star Jeeva. The actress is all smiles when she speaks on her co-star. Jeeva, who is a photo- journalist in the film always used to appear with a camera on the sets, says Karthika. He used to click playfully at everything during the shoots and by the time the film wrapped up he has become a good photographer clicking some beautiful pictures of her, confides Karthika.

Quashing all rumors about her doing a film with Mani Ratnam acting opposite Karthick’s son Goutham, the actress says that she has not even met Goutham. Karthika who is not choosy about acting with a particular hero opines that she would act with any actor who has class and mass appeal in the industry.

Go girl go! Karthika seems like one actress with beauty and brains! Well her acting prowess will be known to the world post the release of ‘Ko.’ Here is wishing the lass the very best for her debut film in Kollywood!
